Rui Ning is a registered counsellor with the Board of Counsellors in Malaysia. She holds a Master of Counselling from International Medical University (IMU) and has received focused training in Expressive Arts Therapy, as well as the Application of Expressive Arts in Community and Group. Rui Ning is both passionate and experienced in utilising a multimodal Expressive Arts approach —including music, visual art, writing, movement, and play—to facilitate personal growth for individuals. Currently, she actively designs and conducts workshops and events activities and provides guidance focused on Expressive Arts for both the community and adults.
Her tagline is: ‘Let’s set aside our critical minds and engage with the arts through curiosity, just like we did as a child.’ She believes that endless possibilities are waiting to be discovered; each individual is an expert and artist in their life journey. Curiosity propels us forward. Therefore, in her practice, she invites individuals to co-create and grow toward a better self and tomorrow.
