Divakara Senna

Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee | Specialising in Trauma-Informed Systemic Therapy

  • National University, San Diego

Diva is a Marriage and Family Therapy trainee from National University in San Diego, specialising in trauma-informed systemic therapy. She works with individuals, couples, and families facing trauma, relational pain, emotional disconnection, and identity challenges.

Diva creates a safe, compassionate, and collaborative space for clients to explore both the clear and confusing aspects of their story. She recognises that healing can begin simply by speaking openly and feeling heard.

Her approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, which invites clients to explore and rewrite the stories that have shaped them, and Structural Family Therapy, which brings attention to the roles and patterns within relationships that may keep people stuck. With a trauma-informed systemic perspective, she creates space for clients to feel safe while making sense of their past and moving toward the future they want.

She is passionate about supporting survivors of emotional abuse and intimate partner violence, as well as those navigating challenges with trust, safety, and intimacy. She also helps couples who feel disconnected, families caught in old patterns, and individuals working to build a stronger sense of self.

At the heart of her work is the belief that people are layered, resilient, and capable of growth and change, even when the weight of life feels too heavy to carry alone.
