Dr. Nicole Chen is a seasoned counsellor with over two decades of experience, specialising in couples and family therapy. As the founder and Clinical Director of Heal Systemic Therapy Centre, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex challenges.
Nicole’s expertise is rooted in her specialised training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and Multigenerational Family Therapy. Her systemic approach recognises that personal issues are often interconnected with broader family and societal dynamics. By integrating these modalities, she provides a holistic understanding of her client’s challenges and offers tailored therapeutic interventions.
Beyond her clinical practice, Nicole is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Sunway University, and has shared her knowledge with students for over 16 years. Her contributions to the field extend beyond academia, as evidenced by her numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. Her commitment to advancing the field is further reflected in her roles as a journal reviewer, PhD and Master student assessor, and active member of professional organisations.
Nicole’s dedication to her profession is evident in her leadership roles. She has served as President of the Malaysian Marriage and Family Therapy Association (MyMFT) and has been recognised for her contributions with a Fellow membership of the Asian Academy of Family Therapy (AAFT).
